Extinction Thermometer

Sculpting, Fabrication. 2022.

Collaboration with Benjamin Von Wong

Extinction Thermometer is a 10’ tall art installation born from the visionary brain of Benjamin Von Wong highlighting the correlation between climate change and biodiversity loss. With a tight two-week deadline, I helped bring this vision to life by hand sculpting dozens of skulls and vertebrae of North America’s keystone species (as well has human). These were sculpted out of recycled foam, then reinforced / detailed with epoxy. The piece was installed at the COP15 UN Biodiversity Conference in Montreal in December of 2022.
