I’m an interior designer with a mission: Harnessing the power of nature to create healing spaces that promote well-being and foster an authentic connection to the natural world.

here’s how i got here.

After graduating with a degree in Interior Design, I spent a period of time resisting the industry. I wanted to be a part of something greater—you know, saving the planet.

I wanted to start over, become an ecologist. Or a landscape architect. Or a science communicator…

When the pandemic hit, I sought refuge in the woods. It’s where I went to feel safe, to feel restored. I wanted everyone to drop what they were doing and go into the woods to feel what I was feeling. This is it, I thought- the answer to the world’s problems. Reconnection to nature. That simple!!!

And then I thought…

Why do so many people lack access to nature? Why do we prioritize profit over planet? Why do we so often overlook the benefits we receive from nature? Why have we become so disconnected ?

So the question then became how can I use my superpowers to address these problems?

And after a few years of soul searching, I came right back to my roots. And this time, it feels alive. Really alive. I’ve decided to embrace the role I can play as interior designer, create healing sanctuaries of well-being and renewal through the infusion of biophilic design principles.

Stay tuned as I embark on this journey.

my superpowers are:

  • empathy: I have the capacity to care and connect very deeply. I use this as an opportunity to lift up what and who needs lifting. I will always fight for the underdog and do what is in my power to give a voice to the voiceless.

  • design: Using empathy to understand clients’ needs, I ideate and develop a concept to completion by organizing all the elements into a cohesive, beautiful, and functional design.

  • micro/macro lens: I view the world through both a micro and macro lens, understanding that all elements are a part of a larger system, and that it is equally important to pay mind to both the individual elements as well as the holistic picture.

  • problem-solving: I am a problem solver and a solutions-based thinker. I always see to it that action is being taken to address an issue, and find resourceful and innovative ways to approach situations.

  • mediating: I read and listen to people very well and have both an innate and practiced understanding of how to relate to people of various viewpoints- finding common values, de-escalating conflicts, and remaining goal-focused.

I am passionate about using my superpowers to cultivate compassion and curiosity for the natural world in order to create a just and regenerative planet.
